About this Hike

Bryce Canyon is one of the most bizarre and unique-looking landscapes in the country. While it’s instantly satisfying to view the park’s famous hoodoos and colorful rock spires from any of its many overlooks, it’s way more satisfying to hike among them.

The Figure Eight Loop combines several of Bryce Canyon’s most popular hikes and adds the Peekaboo Loop. Together, they create a memorable tour of Bryce Canyon filled with exciting sights around every corner.

See the beautiful sights I saw when I hiked in Bryce Canyon in March of 2023.

For me, the thing that made this hike “epic” was doing it in the winter. The snow-covered ground creates a unique color palette, adding brilliant white to red, orange, blue, beige, and green. If you’re lucky, you might get caught in a brief snow shower. When you mix all of these elements together, it feels like you’re traveling through a fairyland.
